Introducing the new Rabea Massaad Signature Pick

Hawk Picks are proud to announce our new Rabea Massaad Signature Pick. Designed by the man himself it’s got several cool options including grips on the front, Rabea logo on rear, standard bevels and comes satin finished for added grip in our  Ivory and new Abalone Blue colours. It’s a very versatile pick that’s packed full of tone and control whatever style you play.

The Rabea Massaad Signature pick comes in our Ivory, Abalone Blue, Abalone Purple and Tortoise Shell Colours. It’s the same great material we use in the ToneBird range so you get all our beautiful warm tone and dynamics. We spent a lot of time getting all the details just right for Rabea, this included the spaced out grips on the front and his iconic logo on the reverse. These two details make it very controllable, comfortable and hard to lose even in the dark! Rabea chose the familiar jazz shape he loves and opted for a 1.4mm gauge with standard bevel.

Rabea Massaad

From playing drums, Rabea has adopted a strong sense of rhythm and uses this skill to execute his tight funk driven style. Influenced by many great musicians including Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, Joe Satriani, and Dimebag Darrell of Pantera, alongside smaller influences such as John Petrucci and Steve Vai, Rabea’s eclectic taste shines through when playing his guitar.

Rabea has now embarked on a new approach to the music industry by attending the Academy Of Contemporary Music to push his musical and creative output as far as possible alongside his fellow band mates. Through this he has gotten involved in several big projects. Alongside working with Rob Chapman to form the band Dorje, who have entered into the rock/metal music scene with a punch, Rabea is also working with 2-time superbike world champion James Toseland who is about to record his debut album.
