Robin Burrows
Robin started playing guitar at the age of 16. He was originally inspired by blues/rock guitarists such as Angus Young, Jimi Hendrix and many others.
He then enrolled on the popular music degree course at The Guitar institute in London, where he studied under the jazz/metal fusion pioneer Shaun Baxter and other respected guitarists such as Lee Hodgson, Martin Goulding, Ian Scott, Barry Langton and Misha Nikolic all of whom are contributors to the Guitar Techniques magazine and professional session musicians.
While studying at the Guitar Institute, Robin was fortunate enough to have private lessons with Shaun Baxter and Martin Goulding over a period of four years. These lessons further developed his advanced guitar technique.
Due to his outstanding playing ability, Robin was chosen to represent the Guitar Institute and Peavey Amplification at the National Guitar Shows at London Wembley arena and Birmingham NEC.
He is continually developing his own style which comprises, amongst other things, of using elements of jazz harmony and advanced rock technique.
Robin is currently busy performing in many function bands, as well as studio session work. He also teaches and reviews and critiques the latest guitar products.
Robin has a YouTube Channel where you can see him in action, or you can check out the video page on his website.
