William Hattersley is a 21-year-old touring guitarist and teacher.

Born and raised in the UK, William picked up the guitar at age 12, inspired by classic rock legends and the intricate stylings of guitar virtuosos. What began as a childhood obsession has quickly grown into a lifelong calling.

By his early teens, William was already performing on local stages, joined by his brother and nephew in ‘BRUDE’ and practising for up to 8 hours daily.

William studied Guitar at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies and then studied jazz at Leeds Conservatoire (formerly Leeds College of Music) until he dropped out in 2023 as he received many opportunities in live performance and teaching.

For the last few years, William has performed at venues all across the UK, such as ‘Leeds Arena’, ‘The Brighton Centre’ and most of the theatres around the UK. Playing with touring theatre shows such as ‘Michael Starring Ben’, ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ and ‘The Spice Girls Experience’. Along with playing huge festivals with ‘BRUDE’.

William’s playing is influenced by all kinds of music, from rock, jazz, funk, neo-classical and fusion. Citing improvised lead playing as his main inspiration.

“These Picks, for me do it all. I feel in control. I’ve never used anything like them before. The quality and the ease they give is unmatched.”
