Sam Dunn

Sam Dunn is a London based jazz guitarist, and can usually be heard playing at jazz clubs the length and breadth of the UK.

His playing borrows from the past, but isn’t constrained by it, and is as likely to be heard accompanying US stride pianist Judy Carmichael at Ronnie Scott’s as he is playing hell for leather contemporary jazz fusion with his own 6 piece band ‘Perpetual Motion Machine’ at the Vortex.

He’s a member of Jon Shenoy’s ‘Draw by Four’ organ quartet, and also runs ‘North/South,’ an organ band with saxophonist Nadim Teimoori. Recent work has seen Sam playing at the Royal Albert Hall in London, as well as jazz clubs such as Ronnie’s, The Dean Street Pizza, the Vortex, The Lescar in Sheffield, 7arts in Leeds and festivals across the UK and beyond.

He is a guitar tutor at the University of Hull, and welcomes inquiries from prospective online students.
